If anyone is visiting my blog anymore, hey-hey-hey, I'm back!! And guess what?? The beans went out one day last October and were gone all day. They came home with a suprise...A LITTLE BROTHER!!
His name is Carl and he looks just like ME!!

Unfortunately he's a young kitten and so, is a BAD BOY sometimes...

The 'beans were gone up to Spooner, Wisconsin and got Carl from the humane society there. I guess you can get any more info on the little brat at his catster page: http://www.catster.com/cats/1160560

In my OWN recent news, I had a big lump on my forehead above my left eye. The stupid vet wanted >>$600<< to remove it. Since one 'bean is unemployed that was NOT an option and since it didn't seem to bother me much they just kept a close eye on it. Well, last February I got put in the cat carrier and taken to Albert Lea, where my 'beans mother lives. Seems she has a good friend who's a vet there. He removed my lump for only $140!! He also said the brat was 'no more than one year old' which made my 'bean laugh because the animal shelter said Carl was 'around 3-4 years old'

Guess that's all for now. It's time for supper and I gotta get to my bowl before Carl finishes HIS supper and starts in on MINE!!

We have been feeling sad all day here. We learned that on Saturday afternoon, 13 June 2009 at 4.10pm local time, Alistair crossed the ranbow bridge. His humans report that he came home with us and is now buried at the end of the yard underneath the fig tree that he loved so much.

Alistair was one of the first internet cats that I got to know. When I first got to meet him I felt an instant affinity as his namesake, Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, is a character in Doctor Who which is British just like Monty Python!!

Go in peace, sir Alistair...you will be missed!

Okay, it was cool outside this morning so my beans opened the windows. I sat on the bed and looked at the window. Something smelled really interesting. I sniffed and sniffed. Finally one of my beans noticed. He asked if I wanted to look outside. He lifted me up to the window and I climbed out of his arms on to the window. Wow, it's great!! You can look and see all the birdies and rabbits!!

130 cats in a small apartment!!

You know I've been wanting to get a brother or sister but I guess there's too much of a good thing. Here's some pictures of a nice old lady who's been helping out 130 homeless cats by keeping them in her tiny 1 bedroom apartment. Looks a bit...um...COZY...??

The place this happened does NOT have a shelter for cats so in a way, the lady is providing a valuable service to the community for FREE...

There was nothing in the article about how/if the cats were taken away. I don't know if that's good or not. Even if she could keep up with feeding/watering and litterbox duties, how could she give enough attention to each cat so they would not turn ferral??

Ok, for everybody who's been wondering, I -am- still alive but have moved! No really!! Instead of a little townhouse, my beans bought a BIG house with a BIG yard full of rabbits and squirrels and birds to watch. There's even a BIG window for me to sit in and watch all the action!!

Later, my mommy had to sew & bought her sewing machine out. I got her to leave it there. It makes a PERFECT seat!!

Oh and you know how old these pictures are...look at the yucky cold white stuff all over outside! Today it's HOT and sticky. I am laying spead out on the cool kitchen floor trying to keep from burning up!!

You see, the stairway upstairs is right by the front door. So I can sit on the landing of the stairs and look outside. HENDERSONVILLE, North Carolina (AP) -- After Eric Congdon opened a crate from China and discovered a cat inside, coming up with a name for the furry stowaway was easy. China the cat had chewed through one of the boxes before it left Shanghai, China, on April 3 and spent at least 35 days on a ship inside the container filled with motorcycle gear.

"I saw something in the container move," Congdon said. "I turned up the headlights on the forklift to get a better look." That was when he saw the cat cowering in a corner, weak but still alive. Congdon, owner of Olympia Moto Sports in Hendersonville, said he and a co-worker called the county's animal services when the cat would not let them near.

A co-worker of Congdon's plans to adopt China, as animal service workers are calling her, if she checks out with a veterinarian. North Carolina law says any animal coming into the country must be vaccinated and quarantined for six months. "We have to take precautions," said animal services manager Brenda Miller.

How could China survive for so long on no food and water? "Usually, we say that animals can only survive a few weeks without food and only a few days without water," said Michelle Misavage, a veterinarian in Raleigh, North Carolina. "The theory is that cats have such good kidneys, their bodies adjust to the lack of water, and somehow they received small amounts of moisture from condensation."

Well, my campaign for a brother took a disturbing turn yesterday! Denden actually AGREED TO GO LOOK AT JACK!! We were all so excited!

Then they came home all quiet and well it turned out Jack wasn't there! He'd been adopted within an hour of being brought in! How's that for appeal??

Oh well. While they were there they told me about Jewels, a cute 9-year old orange tabby who, yes, has lost the end of her right ear. But she was very very friendly, talking and purring!! So I thought I'd post her picture just in case you're looking for a nice cat and you live near here...

This guy's name is JACK...he's a 9 month old siamese/tabby mix (like me!) and is available for adoption at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society!!

I think it would be GREAT to have a little brother!! We could play and sleep together and it wouln't be so lonely in the house when the human beans are off all day at work.

Plus I could pass down my wealth of knowledge I've learned over the years like: when the beans sleep in on Saturday morning and you don't get your breakfast at 5.30am like during the weekdays, let them know about it...LOUDLY! If you do it loud enough and often enough, you'll ALWAYS get breakfast, I've found out...

Anyway, this is my campaign to get Jack as a little brother...I'd really like a little buddy to play with!! Now if only I can purrsuade Denden that the house won't explode if there are two cats here...

These are two 'barn cats' on a friend's farm. The buff colored cat on the right is named Creampuff (for obvious reasons). He was a cute boy, with orange eyes and a very very friendly purrsonality - he would come up to you and rub against your legs until you petted him.

We tried several times to adopt him but the people at the farm liked him too...unfortunately not enough to keep him as an indoor cat, though.

I felt bad to hear that, after being away from home for several days, Creampuff was heading home and was squashed by a car in the road in front of the farm where he lived.

Poor Creampuff had a woefuly short life for such a sweet loving kitty. I hope he's in a better place now. One with lots of happiness, love and friends.

Friends list on Blogger??

I've noticed several cats refering to their 'friends list' My owner has a Live Journal and can have a friends list. Then, whenever one of his friends makes a post, it's shown for him.

Does Blogger have something like this?!?? I haven't been able to find it. I've been manually searching each of my friends blogs every week or two. (which is why my comments may be a little late!) ^_^

Anyway, if someone would PLEASE explain Blogger's 'friends list' function to me, I'd be purrrrrfectly grateful!!

Was surfing on the internet and discovered the Anderson House in Wabasha, MN. It's a historic hotel that has been converted into a B&B. There are lots of cool things about it, but the VERY BEST thing is that you can request one of the resident cats to stay in your room for the night!! Sounds like a fun place to me!!

Yes, it's getting to be that time of year again. That wonderful time when the house is SO FRIKKEN COLD that I feel like a catsicle that's escaped the freezer. That time of year when I wish my owners WOULD dress me up in clothes 'cause it would be WARMER! Soon the dreaded white stuff will fall from the sky and sit on the ground. Anybody walk outside in that stuff?? It's VERY unpleasant! Wet and very very VERY cold!

I can see dressing up in a halloween costume if you want to. Me, I never cared for it. And since I have all my claws, I get my point across...NO COSTUME!

Anyway, I was surfing the 'net looking for halloween wallpapers for the old 'puter and ran across this picture:

What the HECK happened?? Is this a human's sorry attempt at a costume or did the cat sleep on a black bench that had just been painted and the paint looks coincidentally like a jack-o-lantern??

Yes, last saturday Denden (my female owner) went away. All week she'd had the big black boxes out and was packing things in and out & re-arranging stuff in them and then weighing them on the scale.

I thought I could stop her from leaving if I got on the lid of the box and didn't get off...then she either couldn't leave or I'd get to go along. Didn't work. I was forcibly removed from the lid and the box was closed. Now she's gone and it's just Mark (my male owner) and I...two old males in the house alone. Not that I'm complaining but he doesn't let me sleep at night against his legs like Denden does. Oh well...

Today was the birthday of my best internet friend, Skeezix, who is responsible for my having a blog and making all the internet friends I have. Anyway, in honor of his birthday, I got to open the birthday box and it was FULL of GOODIES!! The box smelled of CATNIP and inside, on the bottom, was the greatest toy MOUSE I'd ever played with!! He smells of catnip, has feathers for a tail and rattles too!! Wow, and there was more! Cat treats, a scrunchy ball and, best of all, a sewn up kind of ball with feathers on it that smelled of catnip too!! Wow, my 'beans are gonna have to go some to make MY birthday better than THIS one!!

See this pictures of the neat cat? His name is Zippy though you would be excused if you thought it was me - he's even as old as I am!

Anyway, he's at the local humane society here living with the other cats who are looking for homes. I saw his picture and thought he'd be a good brother to adopt but now there's a civil war brewing here at home regarding whether or not it would be good to do this. Personally I think it would be GREAT! After all, when I first came here I lived with my big brother Buster and nobody died or was injured when there were two cats here (except the mice).

I hope the people decide to adopt him!!

Yeah, I couldn't believe it! My owner came home and she laughed that I had mail. Well I'd never had mail before so I figured it would be junk mail or something. But no, it was from cafepress.com! Yes, I'll probably get in trouble for posting this pic of the messy closet but yesterday morning my owner came back with not one but TWO bags of catfood!! When you consider one bag lasts a few months I wonder why he got two? Is there gonna be a terrorist attack on the catfood factory? Are my owners preparing to coccoon themselves in the house for 6 months? Some things are beyond my understanding, I guess.

Oh and you'll see that this is LIGHT catfood. For my, um, well, weight problem. OK? Got a problem with that? Alright. As some people have said, there's more Bravely to love...

Workers at an animal home in the German city of Cologne said Friday they were looking for the owner of an overweight a cat abandoned outside its gates.

The black and white animal, which has been named Milka, weighed a massive 13 kg (29 pounds), more than three times the norm. It was unable to wash itself and could barely walk, the Koeln-Dellbrueck home said in a statement Friday.

The obese kitty was put on a crash diet and a course of antibiotics because of sores on its skin and workers had to find an extra-large quarantine box for it because none of the usual ones were big enough, the statement said.
"Whether it was out of misplaced love for animals or another reason, we just cannot understand such irresponsibility toward the cat," it added.
The home said it wanted to bring charges against the owner -- if he or she can be traced.

OK, here's scientific proof that yesterday it was hot enough the squirrels were melted and dripping from the trees! Last night it got all rainy and stormy and now it's really funny; the rain is falling and making the streets steam up in a freaky fog. I guess everybody out east is gonna get this awful hot weather now...

Anyway, the air conditioner has finally shut off too and my owners are happy 'cause they said if they had another big alektrick bill they'd have to cut back on my whisker lickins treats!!

Last night we had WATERMELON!! Watermelon is my most favorite people food, except for canteloupe, which we don't have as often.

I don't think I mentioned; my first foster mom, the one who raised me, never let me have any people food so I would not beg. I guess that's why I don't like foods that cats usually like such as fish, chicken and meat. When I moved to my current house my owners would show off how I made a 'bad smell' face when offered some fish or chicken. Were they in for a suprise! One morning they cut open a canteloupe and it was the bestest thing I'd ever smelled!! I rubbed against their legs and cried and cried until they gave me some! Then awhile later they had watermelon which I found I liked too.

So here I am on a HOT day, eating yummy cold watermelon! Life is GOOD!! ^_^

The noisy box woke us up this morning with news that a CAT SMUGGLING RING had been broken and everybody was arrested! Wow! I was SO EXCITED that I could hardly wait to get on the pyooter and read about it. Turns out it was the plants instead of the animals though:

(AP) NEW YORK Federal agents say they have broken up a smuggling ring responsible for most U.S. distribution of a leafy stimulant called khat, which is illegal here but commonly used in East Africa and parts of the Arabian peninsula.Prosecutors announced the indictment of 44 people in New York on Wednesday on charges that they helped bring 25 tons of the plant into the U.S. in recent years. Fourteen men were arrested in the Minneapolis area.

Well, that was still interesting so I looked up KHAT in wikkipedia and found that even announcers on a multi-state radio station don't look up how to pronounce words they've never seen:

Khat (Catha edulis, family Celastraceae), pronounced "cot" and also known as qat, gat, chat, and miraa, is a flowering plant native to tropical East Africa. Believed to originate in Ethiopia, it is a shrub or small tree growing to 5–8 m tall, with evergreen leaves 5–10 cm long and 1–4 cm broad.

Now I'm still hot and upset from hearing about CAT smugglers too! I think I'm gonna email them a complaint!!

The man in the radio said the doo point is 68 and the tempachur is 72, and it's not even 7:30 yet! I wonder if it's gonna get as hot as yesterday? I feel sorry for all the cats out west where it's over 100 degrees, 'cause 90 is HOT ENUF!!

I am gonna quit blogging now and spend the day laying downstairs on my cat pad, which is by a nice air conditioning vent!

Ok, everyone wonders how I got my name. I guess you first have to know I was named after one of the knights in a funny movie. You can listen to the part where Sir Robin is in at http://nerkberk0.tripod.com/index-8.html

I was born in an abandoned house with my brothers and sisters. My mom was a purbred siamese, ive been told. When I was only three weeks old they were gonna tear down the house and my mom's owner didn't want us so one of the demolition workers took us all home to raise us. After we were old enough she gave all of us away but kept me. I was named Bravely Bold Sir Robin 'cause I get scared real easy and run and hide under the people bed.

Anyway I was about 9 months old when even MORE cats (and a DOG!) came to live at the house. My owner thought it was time for some of us to leave and offered us to a friend of hers. She tried pawning off my two older buddies, Jessa and Jaidan, but they held out for me. I eventually ended up going home with them for which I'm very glad, even though I peed and pooped in the car...hey, it was my FIRST TIME away from home other than the vets!

Well that was back in 1999. My old friend, Buster, that used to live here went away to the vets back in 2002 and never came back so I've been the only cat of the house since then.

Though I'm not a brave cat I *LOVE* to hunt mice! (Within the first two weeks of arriving here, I caught more mice than Buster did in all the years HE was here!) My favorite toy is fuzzy mice and I also love whisker lickins treats and birdwatching on the balcony in the summer.

This morning my owner was LOL (which means laughing out loud). When I came over to the pyuuter, it had this pikture on it.

Even though I am a 'HE' my owner was talking about how it was so appropriate for what goes on around here.

You want to know something though? He really likes JK Rowling and I think that's why he likes it...
